MotoAmerica Stars Visit The Sites Of Philadelphia Before Season Finale

On The Eve Of The Finale At NJMP, The Riders Play Tourists

PHILADELPHIA, PA, SEPT. 8 – Several of the stars of the MotoAmerica Series played tourists in downtown Philadelphia on Thursday, the day prior to the start of the Yamaha Superbike Challenge of New Jersey at New Jersey Motorsports Park, September 9-11.

From running up the stairs of the Philadelphia Museum of Art that were made famous by Sylvester Stallone in the movie “Rocky,” to eating world-famous Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches at Geno’s Steaks, the riders enjoyed a lot of what Philly has to offer on the eve of the series finale at NJMP.

Hosted by SportBikes Inc. Magazine publisher Allan Lane, the day featured a wide-open tour of the City of Brotherly Love for Yoshimura Suzuki’s Roger Hayden, Y.E.S. Graves Yamaha’s Garrett Gerloff, M4 SportbikeTrackGear.com Suzuki teammates Valentin Debise and Cameron Petersen, ADR Motorsports’ Patricia Fernandez, Wheels In Motion/Meen Motorsports’ Joe Roberts and Yamalube/Westby Racing’s Mathew Scholtz.

The riders were also joined on the tour of Philly by local motorcycle clubs Zero 2 Sixty, Twisters, Kneedraggers, Skull Kandy, Outsidaz, Untamed Beasts and East Coast Moto, with the clubs playing escort and keeping the group together as they navigated the their way through the streets of Philly.

“We had a good day in Philadelphia,” said Hayden. “It was cool to see some of the history of the city and really our country. And we had a lot of fun doing it. It was a nice way to spend the day before we get down to business at NJMP in our series finale.”
