This weekend the MotoAmerica series heads to Pittsburgh, PA for round 8 of the Championship and the Twins Cup grid is shaping up to be the largest of the season……so far. The 2.8 mile undulating layout of the Pittsburgh International Race Complex (PIRC) should provide close, exciting racing as the Twins Cup turnout is expected to have over 20 entrants.

Florida’s own Robert Fisher was planning to stay home and do some development work on his Roaring Toyz sponsored 2017 model Suzuki SV650 instead of racing MotoAmerica Twins Cup at PIRC, but the RBoM crew didn’t really care for that plan. Fisher’s top 5 finish at the Laguna Seca round, on that 2017 model SV650, did not go unnoticed by the RBoM Racing decision-makers and they offered Fisher a proposal too good to pass up. Robert Fisher accepted and will line up in Pittsburgh on an RBoM Racing Suzuki SV650.

RBoM Racing’s 2018 WERA/N2 Endurance effort has been utilizing the experience of Robert Fisher for the first two 4-hour endurance races of the year and the team couldn’t be happier with his contribution and performance. Since the RBoM endurance bikes would be collecting dust until October, it was a pretty simple concept for the team to swap some parts around and prepare a bike with Fisher’s set-up numbers. For the PIRC round, the #211 Roaring Toyz entry will be flying RBoM Racing colors.

Fisher plans to continue developing his personal, RBoM powered, Roaring Toyz 2017 model Suzuki SV650 and will bring that bike back out for the New Jersey and Barber rounds.

The MotoAmerica Twins Cup race at PIRC has attracted some quality “blast from the past” racers, which could make things interesting and perhaps shake things up a bit. Robert Fisher has the credentials to do just that as he looks forward to joining Chris Bays and Matt DiLorenzo in RBoM Racing livery.
