RODIO/WARHORSE HSBK RACING TAKES REV’IT! TWINS CUP CHAMPIONSHIP LEAD AT BIR

Anthony Mazziotto Claims Fastest Race Lap and New MotoAmerica Class Race Lap Record On Way to 3rd Place Finish

Clocking a 1:36.944 best lap time on lap 5 of the race Anthony Mazziotto lowered his existing Brainerd International Raceway class race lap record by .040 seconds set in 2021’s Race 2 on the way to a 3rd place finish in the lone REV’IT! Twins Cup race of the event. Scoring enough points to take over the championship lead, Anthony piloted his Rodio/Warhorse HSBK Racing Aprilia RS660 from fifth place on the grid to run in podium position for all but three of the race laps, taking the race lead on lap 8 of 12. Placing the highest of the three Aprilias that finished in the top 5 in the race Anthony was closing in on the competition when he was thwarted by a backmarker on the final lap which eliminated any chance of a higher podium position. Only a few tenths of a second separated the top 3 finishers, concluding another exciting race that the Twins Cup has become known for.

Anthony Mazziotto: “It was a good weekend here in Minnesota at Brainerd International Raceway. The race went very well, I am satisfied with how we finished. Our strategy has been to pluck valuable championship points while at the same time shooting for the best finishes possible and I think we’ve been doing a very decent job. Although a win would have been more satisfying, to finish 3rd today was positive and taking the championship lead to tracks where I’m comfortable and enjoy riding I’m very confident in our ability to continue our consistent performance with more podium finishes. Hopefully we can score race wins at Pittsburgh and New Jersey so that we can make the job at Barber a bit easier.”

Rodio/Warhorse HSBK Racing will continue their REV’IT! Twins Cup championship quest at the next MotoAmerica Round at Pittsburgh International Race Complex in Wampum, PA, August 19-21.
