RST SUPPLIES TEAM HAMMER FOR THE ULTIMATE RIDER SAFETY

Team Hammer’s racers are relying on RST leathers once again during the 2022 MotoAmerica AMA/FIM North American Road Racing Championship season.

RST has been committed to providing the ultimate rider safety and protection for more than three decades. Its leathers have achieved remarkable success globally in both its racing and commercial pursuits by consistently delivering outstanding performance, protection, and value.

As part of the agreement with Team Hammer, Vision Wheel M4 ECSTAR Suzuki pilots Jake Lewis, Richie Escalante, Samuel Lochoff, Tyler Scott, and Liam Grant have been outfitted in RST’s top-of-the-line V4.1 Airbag one-piece leathers in ’22 and at times have crash tested the RST leathers.

Zoe Turner, RST’s Race Department Manager, said, “Following a successful 2021 season, culminating in winning the MotoAmerica Supersport Championship, we were delighted to extend our agreement with Team Hammer for 2022. The team is once again wearing RST’s flagship one-piece leather suit, the V4.1, fitted with the very latest In&Motion airbag technology, offering the highest possible protection, style and comfort.

“The entire RST team is extremely proud to be working with Team Hammer again and we wish Richie, Jake, Sam, Tyler and Liam continued success!”

Constructed with a 60/40 ratio of the highest quality kangaroo and cowhide leathers, the V4.1 was developed to provide maximum protection and comfort in the most extreme competitive conditions. Featuring Aramid reinforcement, a full suite of level 2 CE certified armor, and integrated and upgradable airbag technology, the V4.1 was originally designed for use at the elite level. That security is available for street riders as well, as leathers featuring exact same specification and made alongside those worn by the Vision Wheel M4 ECSTAR Suzuki riders are available for purchase at all RST dealers.

“Our riders have crashed about 15 times so far this season and we need a quality product to keep them in the championship,” said Team Hammer’s Chris Ulrich. “The RST V4.1 suit is fantastic safety-wise but also easy to maintain. The airbag can be recharged without sending it back to the factory so it is a great product we rely on.”
