After sustaining a hand injury while training on his dirtbike, MotoAmerica Twins class racer Brian McGlade was forced to sit out the opening MotoAmerica round at Road Atlanta. McGlade, with numerous CCS/ASRA lightweight wins and championships, will now be sidelined for the VIR round as well due to the same lingering hand injury. McGlade has high hopes to make his MA debut at Road America in June.

LWT Racer will replace McGlade for the VIR round with team manager Sam Wiest. #600 Wiest, on a Suzuki SV650, will share the pits with teammate #889 Sean Dougherty. Dougherty, who traditionally races a Ducati SuperSport 1000, will also be racing a Suzuki SV650 built and prepped by Wiest/LWTRacer.com.

The team hopes to have a strong showing and build momentum for future rounds in the series. Wiest will take a seat back on the bench after McGlade returns to action on his 2017 SV650. LWT Racer has plans to field a 3rd rider in the series, those details to come soon.
