Mathew Scholtz turned the fastest lap time during MotoAmerica Supersport practice Friday morning at Road America, in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Riding his Strack Racing Yamaha YZF-R6 on Dunlop control tires, Scholtz recorded a lap time of 2:18.319 and led the field of 40 entries.

Uruguay’s Maxi Gerardo was the best of the rest with a 2:18.889 on his TopPro Racing Suzuki GSX-R750.

Teagg Hobbs was third-quickest at 2:19.038 on his Vision Wheel M4 ECSTAR Suzuki GSX-R750.

Rahal Ducati Moto w/XPEL’s PJ Jacobsen finished fourth with a 2:19.171 on his Panigale V2.

Hobbs’ teammate Tyler Scott rounded out the top five with a 2:19.249.
