MotoAmerica: Scott Takes Provisional Pole In Supersport Q1 At NJMP

Tyler Scott earned provisional pole position during MotoAmerica Supersport Qualifying One (Q1) Friday afternoon at New Jersey Motorsports Park, in Millville, New Jersey. Riding his Vision Wheel M4 ECSTAR Suzuki GSX-R750, the 17-year-old from Pennsylvania lapped the 2.25-mile Thunderbolt Raceway course in 1:23.779 to lead the field of 28 competitors.

Jake Lewis was second-quickest with a time of 1:23.847 on his Disrupt Racing Suzuki GSX-R750.

Josh Hayes, the all-time AMA/MotoAmerica race win leader, ranked third in the session with a 1:23.934 on his Squid Hunter Racing Yamaha YZF-R6.

Local hero Anthony Mazziotto finished fourth with a lap time of 1:24.036 on his North East Cycle Outlet Racing Yamaha YZF-R6.

Australian native David Anthony rounded out the top five with a 1:24.094 on board his Wrench Motorcycles Suzuki GSX-R750.
