Michael Gilbert to Ride Supersport for RiderzLaw Racing in 2018
Orange County, CA — RiderzLaw is proud to announce that Michael Gilbert will be competing in the 2018 MotoAmerica Supersport championship aboard the RiderzLaw Racing Yamaha YZF-R6. In the 2017 season, Michael Gilbert finished second overall in the Superstock 600 championship, amassing ten podium finishes along the way, including four first place finishes.
“We were so fortunate to be a part of Michael’s success last year, and the opportunity to increase that support for 2018 is really exciting,” says Fabian Morales, Director of Sponsorship for RiderzLaw.
“Stepping up to the MotoAmerica Supersport class is no easy task, but we are confident in Michael’s abilities to get the job done on his Riderzlaw Racing YZF-R6,” says RiderzLaw founder Sy Nazif.
In addition to his MotoAmerica program, Gilbert balances a career in journalism, and has been published in multiple motorcycle magazines—including Cycle News, Cycle World, and Sport Rider. Gilbert also coaches alongside Jason Pridmore at the JP43 Training days, where he shares his wealth of knowledge to help improve the riding abilities of his students.
“There’s no doubt that 2018 is going to be a great year, and I’m so excited to make the step up to Supersport with help of the Riderzlaw Racing team,” says Gilbert. “We have already been hard at work to put all the right pieces together, and I see us having a very competitive package right out of the gate. I’m so thankful for this opportunity with RiderzLaw, and I plan on making the most of it!”
Michael will be joined by teammate Jackson Blackmon, who will be piloting a Graves Yamaha R3 for RiderzLaw Racing’s 2018 MotoAmerica team. Last year, RiderzLaw supported racers across the WERA, AFM, CVMA, and MotoAmerica paddocks. Most notably, RiderzLaw was the title sponsor for MotoAmerica Superstock 600 Champion, Jason Aguilar.
