Three MotoAmerica teams are wrapping up a two-day test today at Thunderhill Raceway Park, in Willows, California.
Monster Energy Graves Yamaha’s Cameron Beaubier and Josh Hayes, Yamalube Monster Energy Graves Yamaha’s JD Beach and Garrett Gerloff, and Yoshimura Suzuki’s Roger Hayden and Jake Lewis are present and testing both their racebikes and new tires for Dunlop.
More teams had planned to attend the test, but questionable weather forecasts prevented others from making the investment to come to northern California.
Poor weather cut short a MotoAmerica team test at Thunderhill in December 2015.
Weather conditions today are similar to what they were like on Wednesday, cool and overcast, but the track is dry and suitable for productive testing, according to Dunlop and team representatives.
Another multi-team test is scheduled at Thunderhill in February, and an official MotoAmerica/Dunlop pre-season test open to all MotoAmerica-licensed riders is scheduled at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) in March.
The 2016 MotoAmerica AMA/FIM North America Road Racing series opens April 10-12 at COTA.
