MotoAmerica teams are testing today and Friday at Thunderhill Raceway Park, in Willows, California.

The Monster Energy/Graves Yamaha team of two-time and defending MotoAmerica Superbike Champion Cameron Beaubier and four-time MotoAmerica/AMA Superbike Champion Josh Hayes are testing new electronics and suspension components on their YZF-R1 Superbikes.

The Yoshimura Suzuki duo of Toni Elias and Roger Hayden are publicly testing their new 2017 GSX-R1000 Superbikes for the first time, although they have tested the machines at least once, at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia.

Monster Energy/Yamaha Extended Services/Yamalube/Graves Yamaha is present with defending MotoAmerica Supersport Champion Garrett Gerloff and 2015 MotoAmerica Supersport Champion JD Beach on their new 2017-spec YZF-R6s. Gerloff reports the new bike is a lot different than most people would think it would be.

Meen Motorsports is testing with 2016 MotoAmerica Superstock 1000 Champion Josh Herrin on his new Yamaha YZF-R1 Superbike and new recruit Bryce Prince, the 2016 MotoAmerica Superstock 600 Champion, on his new YZF-R1 Superstock 1000 race bike.

Latus Motors Racing Kawasaki has brought out Bobby Fong to ride his Ninja ZX-10R.

And privateer Superstock 600 racer Michael Gilbert is also taking part in the test.

M4 ECSTAR Suzuki’s Chris Ulrich is also at Thunderhill but only to give members of the media rides on his two-seat GSX-R1000 Superbike.

Weather conditions are good with clear skies and cool temperatures expected to reach a high in the 60s.

The weather forecast for Friday is similar but with cooler conditions.
