VP Racing Fuels will be the new official spec fuel supplier for all classes of the MotoAmerica AMA/FIM North American Road Racing Series beginning with the 2019 season.

VP Racing Fuels takes the place of Sunoco, which had been the spec fuel supplier for all of MotoAmerica’s classes since the KRAVE Group took over America’s premier road racing series at the end of 2014.

Prior to the MotoAmerica era, Sunoco was the spec fuel supplier to the AMA Pro Superbike Championship and its support classes since the 2009 season.

The change to a spec fuel and sole supplier was originally billed by AMA Pro Racing as a way to contain costs and promote parity among teams, and teams welcomed the change as it significantly reduced race fuel costs and the complications associated with using exotic racing fuels.

The Competition Bulletin From MotoAmerica Is Below:

MotoAmerica has named VP MGP as the controlled fuel for 2019. VP must be used in all official tests and MotoAmerica competition events. MGP will be available at all official tests and competition events. Specs for the FIM approved MGP are available here.

The fuel will be available at the linked distributors in two weeks. The cost to MotoAmerica competitors purchased at a race track or through the five listed distributors is $12 a gallon plus applicable tax and shipping, and the fuel will be available in 15 gallon drums.
