MotoAmerica: Zanetti Subbing For Jacobsen At “The Ridge”

Veteran Italian racer Lorenzo Zanetti will ride in place of injured PJ Jacobsen during the MotoAmerica Superbike round August 28-30 at Ridge Motorsports Park, in Shelton, Washington, according to a social media post by the team.

Jacobsen suffered extensive burns when the Celtic HSBK Racing Ducati Panigale V4 R he was riding burst into flames while at speed June 28 at Road America.

Zanetti has raced in the FIM Superbike and Supersport World Championships. In 2015, Zanetti finished third in the FIM Supersport World Championship, one position behind Jacobsen.

Zanetti, age 33, currently races a Ducati Panigale V4 R for the Broncos Racing Team in the CIV (Italian) Superbike Championship. His best finish so far in 2020 was a third in Race One at Mugello. Zanetti is also a test rider for Ducati Corse.
