Brad Binder posted the best lap time during MotoGP World Championship practice Friday afternoon at Motegi, in Japan. Riding his Red Bull KTM Factory Racing on Michelin control tires, the South African did a 1’43.436 around the 2.9-miles (4.8 km) course to lead the field of 23 riders.
Marc Marquez was second Friday afternoon with a time of 1’43.469 on his Gresini Racing Ducati.
Championship Leader Jorge Martin was third with a 1’43.568 on his Prima Pramac Ducati.
Italian Francesco Bagnaia finished the session ranking 7 with a time of 1’43.754 on his Lenovo Ducati.
