MotoAmerica Superbikes will return to Circuit of The Americas as a support class for the Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas MotoGP event provisionally scheduled for April 16-18, 2021, at Circuit of The Americas (COTA), in Austin, Texas.

MotoAmerica had been slated to race in support of the MotoGP World Championship event at COTA on its originally scheduled date in April 2020 and its postponed date in November 2020, but the event was eventually cancelled due to COVID-19.

Today, however, MotoGP released its provisional 2021 calendar, which includes an event April 16-18 at COTA, and MotoAmerica will be there.

“If MotoGP indeed has a race there, we will be with them again as a support race with our Superbike class,” MotoAmerica Communications Director Paul Carruthers told Roadracingworld.com.

MotoAmerica is expected to update its provisional 2021 race schedule with the COTA date in the near future.
