Dallas Daniels and Jamie Astudillo to ride Kawasaki Ninja’s in the MotoAmerica Junior Cup Series for Quarterley Racing/On Track Development
Mooresville, NC – After three seasons of progressive success in the KTM RC Cup Series culminating in a Championship win in 2017; the Quarterley on Track Development Team is excited to participate in the expanded MotoAmerica Junior Cup Series for 2018 with riders Dallas Daniels and Jamie Astudillo. Dale Quarterley, founding partner is particularly excited to have the team riding the Kawasaki Ninja this season. Dale Quarterley started his racing career on a Kawasaki, being one of the few privateers to win an AMA superbike event at Mid-Ohio and finish 2nd in AMA Superbike Points on a Kawasaki Ninja 750 sponsored by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle in 1993.
Brought to Dale Quarterley’s attention by Earl Hayden and Roadracing World’s John Ulrich, Dallas Daniels, is a 14-year-old motorcycle racer from Illinois. Racing is all he has ever wanted to do, inspired by his father’s national flat track career. He sets his goals high contending for the Nicky Hayden Horizon Award in both Road Racing and Flat Track for the upcoming 2018 season. If he accomplishes this he will be the first rider to do so. He has already won several flat track amateur national championships and while riding under the Quarterley Racing OTD tent in Pittsburg in 2017 placed tenth in his first MotoAmerica KTM RC Cup Road Race after practicing in the top five all day.
Just out of her rookie year with MotoAmerica KTM road racing series, Jamie Astudillo, 17-year-old from Gilbertsville, PA brought several top 10 finishes. Her racing background spans several countries including Spain, Ecuador, Costa Rica, and Chile with first place Motocross finishes in the MX Masterkids in France for Team USA and Oak Hill Texas National Women’s Championship. Her goals for the 2018 season include consistent top ten finishes and a top five in Championship points. She will also compete in Motocross and Flat Track as the schedule allows
We would like to thank the 2017 Team Sponsors: Beta Tools, Inter-Tech Supplies, Motorex, Regina Chains, Scott Powersports, Street & Competition, and Woodcraft Technologies for their support in our program.
Quarterley Racing on Track Development Team was developed from a combined effort between Bob Robbins and Dale Quarterley to provide an opportunity for young riders to showcase their personal talents. Riders are selected based on their personal dedication to the sport at the club level. Identified youth are provided the opportunity to be surrounded with a team of professionals who have ridden themselves and cultivate a culture of personal accountability and growth not just as a rider, but as a member of the team and racing community. Development youth racers must not only ride but learn to accurately describe what is going on with the bike, become involved in maintaining the bike, conduct themselves in the paddock and at media events, and collaborate with the team and industry. Our goal is for the team to build a foundation for a rider to carry them throughout their professional motorcycle career.
