MotoGP Star Colin Edwards To Visit Soldiers At Camp Atterbury Joint Maneuver Training Center In Indiana Tomorrow

American MotoGP Star Edwards To Visit Camp Atterbury International motorcycle racer and MotoGP star Colin Edwards will visit mobilizing soldiers at Camp Atterbury in Edinburgh, Ind., on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009. Edwards, from Houston, will return to Indianapolis in late August to compete in the Red Bull Indianapolis GP on Aug. 28-30 on a Tech 3 Yamaha. It will be the second running for the MotoGP series at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. While at Camp Atterbury, Edwards will sample weapons at the Engagement Skills Trainer (an indoor simulated firing range), eat lunch with soldiers and participate in an armored car roll-over procedure. The colorful, outspoken Edwards is often seen at races around the world sporting a U.S. Marines ball cap and is an avid supporter of the military.
