AMAZING JAMBOREE WITH IANNONE AND RINS IN INDONESIA

After completing the first official IRTA test of the season at Sepang International Circuit both Team SUZUKI ECSTAR riders, Alex Rins and Andrea Iannone, travelled to Japan for a quick visit to Hamamatsu factory, followed by another flight to Jakarta to attend a very special event in Indonesia.

Iannone and Rins landed in Jakarta on February 2nd to join in with some promotional activities and partake in interviews for the national media.

“It’s always a pleasure to come to Indonesia where the people support us deeply,” explained Iannone. Rins, on his second visit to the Indonesian capital, was also happy to meet the fans, and the rider from Barcelona added: “Indonesia is a really nice country and you can feel the charming welcome they give, so for us it is great to visit.”

One day later, on February 3rd, both sportsmen visited the legendary circuit of Sentul where the World Championship was held historically. Suzuki Indomobile Motors prepared a wonderful plan of activities to celebrate the Jamboree festival named ‘Born to ride. Live to rock!’. More than 4,000 Suzuki riders, fans, and customers joined the two MotoGP riders, spending the whole day together – all moved by the same passion for the Suzuki brand.

In the morning both riders, on board two new Suzuki GSX-R150 machines with MotoGP replica colours, shared the track with around 1,000 bikers in a huge parade lap. Iannone and Rins had a lot of fun with the Indonesian fans;

“It was fantastic to ride among such a big number of bikers, a unique experience!”, exclaimed Rins.

During the day they attended the official unveiling of the brand new GSX-R150 ‘Shutter Key’ model alongside the Managing Director, Mr. Seiji Itayama, and Head of Sales and 2-wheel Marketing, Mr. Yohan Yayah, answering questions from the Indonesian media who came to cover the Jamboree.

Now Iannone and Rins will fly back home and have some rest before facing the next MotoGP test, which will be held at Buriram Circuit (Thailand) from February 16-18th.
