STARS OF BARBER “THE CHASE” FEATURE FILM TO PERFORM AT TRIUMPH SUPERBIKE CLASSIC Birmingham, AL (May 22) — Professional motorcycle stunt riders Nick “Apex” Brocha and Ernie “EDub” Vigil will return to Barber Motorsports Park next month for the first time since filming the highly viewed video “The Chase” at the renowned road course and motorsports museum. Nick and Ernie, who also star in the “Motorcycles vs. Car Drift 2″ film that’s been viewed more than 10 million times on YouTube in just four months, will perform both Saturday and Sunday, June 23 and24, at Alabama’s Triumph Superbike Classic. This is the sixth round and mid-point of the 2012 AMA Pro Road Racing schedule. “We’re very excited to add Nick and Ernie to our Triumph Superbike weekend,” said Rick Humphrey, Vice President of ZOOM Motorsports, the exclusive event promoter at Barber Motorsports Park. “It will be a very nice addition to our weekend. These guys have built a huge following doing things on motorcycles that you might never have thought were possible, and we are thrilled to secure them for our event.” With the help of Triumph, Nick and Ernie came to Birmingham earlier in the year to film “The Chase.” While at Barber, the two met up with Triumph road racer and 2011 Daytona 200 winner Jason DiSalvo to shoot the seven-minute segment. The video features some of the same stunts that will be performed during the Triumph Superbike Classic weekend and has been viewed by more than 650,000 people since going online in February. The Triumph Speed Triple drift bikes used in both films will be on display during the AMA Pro Road Racing event weekend at the Triumph tent located in the expo area. Both Nick and Ernie also will be in the Triumph area for pictures and autographs. To view “The Chase” or to purchase tickets for the Triumph Superbike Classic go to www.barbermotorsports.com. Tickets for the Triumph Superbike Classic start at just $15 and kids 15 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult. The Motorcycle Super Saver package is available until June 21st with access to three motorcycle events at Barber Motorsports Park in 2012, along with complimentary motorcycle parade laps during the Triumph Superbike Classic. While at Barber Motorsports Park, fans are encouraged to visit the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum, a 144,000 square foot home to the largest private collection of motorcycles, representing 20 countries and over 200 manufacturers. Tickets to the Museum are available for an additional fee and can be purchased at the door.
