Mission Motorsports Receives Prestigious MSF Leadership Award IRVINE, Calif. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation presented its esteemed Leadership Award to Southern California-based Mission Motorsports earlier this month, recognizing the 55,000 square foot, two-story, multi-brand dealership for its ongoing spirit of teamwork and readiness to help the MSF with a variety of photo and video projects over the last several years. “In our safety videos, Host-An-Event Kits, materials and web applications, we often need to depict consumers shopping in dealerships and interacting with dealership personnel,” said Tim Buche, MSF’s president and chief executive officer. “Over the years, Mission Motorsports has generously allowed us to execute visually stunning video and photo shoots in and around their store, and if that wasn’t enough, they have lent us great motorcycles, ATVs and UTVs for location photo and video shoots that we’ve used to develop a multitude of safety materials and web-based training aids.” The MSF award was presented to the dealership’s 30-plus member staff and accepted by Mission’s Owner Robin Matherson, President John Sutton, and General Manager George Berta. In presenting the award, the MSF’s Director of Special Projects Ken Glaser detailed several of the ways Mission Motorsports has assisted MSF and its partner trade associations. “Last year, you let the Motorcycle Industry Council do a photo shoot in your service shop for MIC’s Motorcycle Tire Guide,” Glaser said. “You prepped and lent side-by-side recreational vehicles to the Recreational Off-highway Vehicle Association for ROHVA’s new online E-Course. You let the ATV Safety Institute take over your entire second floor for a day of shooting for ASI’s new Salesperson E-Course. Over the years, you have been receptive, supportive, and most importantly, tolerant of our requests that ultimately benefit all motorsports consumers and your customers.” “We’re very focused on the welfare of our customers,” Berta said. “By working closely with the MSF, we’ve discovered a unique way to make a positive impact for our customers and for the industry as a whole. The folks at MSF are doing good work.” The Motorcycle Safety Foundation® promotes safety through rider training and education, operator licensing tests and public information programs. The MSF works with the federal government, state agencies, the military and others to offer training for all skill levels so riders can enjoy a lifetime of safe, responsible motorcycling. Standards established by the MSF® have been recognized worldwide since 1973. The MSF is a not-for-profit organization sponsored by BMW, BRP, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Piaggio, Suzuki, Triumph, Victory and Yamaha.
