Motorcycling Australia Sets New Noise Limits For 2008

As of 1 January 2008, the noise limit for most disciplines of motorcycle competition will be 96db(A). The exceptions to this will be: – Road Racing 102db(A) – Historic Road Racing 102db(A) – Speedway 98db(A) – Track 98db(A) – Minikhana 95db(A) Testing procedures will be as outlined in the FIM Regulations, which can be found on the FIM website at www.fim.ch. These changes will be reflected in the 2008 Manual of Motorcycle Sport which will be available to download from the homepage of the MA website from, Monday 24 December.
