Motovid.com’s 7th annual Broken Wing Benefit to expand support for Road America in 2018

After six successful seasons raising $43,300 to further support motorcycle safety improvements at Blackhawk Farms Raceway with Roadracing World Action Fund (RWAF) airfence deployments, Motovid.com is proud to announce an expansion of its annual motorcycle safety fundraiser, the Broken Wing Benefit, to include support for Road America in 2018. Motovid.com has established $20,000 as the Broken Wing Benefit 2018 goal to help improve safety for all 2-wheel events held at Road America.

“Continuing the goodwill and dedication towards track safety for our riders is very important to us,” said Kathleen Casey, Motovid.com owner. “The Broken Wing has become such a successful tradition for our riders at Blackhawk Farms, we felt it was time to expand the program and help improve motorcycle safety at our other home track, Road America.”

“We are happy to help raise funds for air fence for use at Motovid.com events at Road America,” said Enrique Ramirez, Business Services Manager for Road America. “Soft barriers and air fence are invaluable to the safety of racers and we hope that through our involvement with Motovid.com the two-wheel community will rally around this cause so that we can expand the amount of air fence available for the safety of racers during our two-wheel track days and events.”

To kickstart the expansion, Motovid.com and Road America will host two Broken Wing Donation dinners at Road America. The first Broken Wing dinner scheduled evening of Sun July 8th followed by the second dinner on Sun Aug 19th. Each dinner will be held from 6:00-10:00p during pre-load entry inside the Road America paddock on the evening prior to upcoming Motovid.com All Levels Track Days, menu and price TBD.

Food, prizes and fun will be on schedule the night before each Motovid.com track day event at Road America. Save the dates, hope you can join us and party for a good cause!

All proceeds from the 2018 Broken Wing Donation dinners at Road America will be combined with total donations gathered by Motovid.com on its website, alongside auction proceeds from the 7th annual Broken Wing Benefit presented by Hupy and Abraham S.C. Saturday Sep 1 6:00p at Blackhawk Farms Raceway and private donations raised throughout the 2018 season.
