Motovid.com offers new format for street riders: Real World Speed – Street Skills Clinic Sat. August 30
(DELAVAN, WI) Motovid.com is proud to announce a new street riding format; Real World Speed – Street Skills Clinic brought to you by Moto Union Ducati – MV Agusta & Southeast Sales Honda – Kawasaki – KTM – Suzuki, Saturday August 30th at Blackhawk Farms Raceway, South Beloit, IL.
The new Real World Speed – Street Skills Clinic, developed for licensed street riders of all levels on any street motorcycle provides exercises alongside dedicated classroom curriculum designed by Jason Herheim to help street riders improve their fundamentals and safe riding techniques with and without passengers whether on a solo ride or in a group setting.
“Real World Speed – Street Skills is designed for both passengers, and street riders alike.” Said Jason Herheim, Motovid.com Instructor. “Although we conduct training exercises on a race track, we’re treating it as your favorite county highway with a double yellow line. We will have fun, stay in our lane and elevate rider skill levels at Real World Speed,” Herheim finished.
Any motorcycle rider, 18 years or older, with his/her motorcycle certification can participate alongside a passenger if desired. Any currently licensed street going motorcycle, properly maintained for street use is acceptable, including Can-Am spyders. Required riding gear includes DOT Full Face helmet, Full fingered leather gloves (no skin exposed) , riding jacket, sturdy, over the ankle boots, protective riding pants, or jeans with no rips or tears.
Topics Include – General Safe Riding Procedures, Vision and Perception on the road. Smooth Cornering at speed, including braking, shifting technique. Body position for solo and two up riding. Understand how passengers affect motorcycle handling, adjustments necessary for riding two up.
What participants get: Street skills training in real world speed scenarios with 7 dedicated classroom sessions, 5 on track and 2 off track lessons and drills. Passengers will be on track in the afternoon and participate in the Off track drills as well.
Join Motovid.com after class on Sat. August 30th, starting at 6:00pm for its 3rd Annual Broken Wing Benefit supporting the Roadracing World Air Fence Fund and motorcycle safety and Airfence deployment at Blackhawk Farms Raceway. Broken Wing Benefit activities include: Wing Cooking and Wing Eating Contest(s), Live Auction followed by live Jazz music provided from the Mike Stone Trio. Free Camping is available with hot showers, everyone is welcome!
