World’s best e-mobility comes from Germany MUENCH Racing Team once again wins e-bike world final This year e-powered racing sport teams competed for four championship titles. The German MUENCH Racing Team won all four of them! After winning the FIM e-Power construction category as well as both, the FIM and TTXGP European single rankings the traditional German brand secured another sensational victory at the TTXGP “World Final” last Sunday. Just like in 2010 they once again won the e-racing crown. During the open practice the team already proofed that the MUENCH TTE-2 is a class of its own. With a high speed of 190km/h and a lap time of 1.42 for 2.1 miles Matthias Himmelmann was able to break away from main opponent Ho ChiFung who crossed the finish line four seconds behind Himmelmann. At the same time racing bikes from the 70’s participated in the competition. This constrained Himmelmann and his pursuit of fast lap times. “During the Qualifying we came in first in front of David Hallett and Ho ChiFung,” explains team manager Thomas Petsch on racing Sunday. “The final race started at 2pm and we all hoped for yet another start to finish victory.” Eventually Matthias Himmelmann came in first with a healthy margin of 40 seconds before Ho ChiFung. But that’s not all there is. As the cherry on the cake Himmelmann accomplished a sensational lap time of 1.39 during his last lap. With this start to finish victory head of development Thomas Schuricht and his team once again accomplished something sensational. “The British racing enthusiasts were more than impressed that one can already go that fast on an e-bike. They do understand however, that e-racing is the future,” said Thomas Petsch. The emission-free racing sport is supported by an on-site wind power station in the pit lane where all e-bikes are charged. The fastest machines achieved a lap time of 1.37 this weekend. With their time of 1.39 MUENCH is hard on their heels! If you want to experience MEUNCH Racing Team at close range, you stand the best chances at Essen Motor Show. In line with rattling exhausts the most recent e-mobility concepts and equipment solutions will be displayed. In cooperation with their main sponsor MUENCH will not only present their e-bikes but potentially introduce their new Production Racer and the new TTX Racing Series in hall 4 from November 26th till December 4th.
