N2 Track Days and WERA Postpone the WERA Sprint Races and N2 National Endurance at Pittsburgh International Race Complex.

Media, PA – May, 2020 – N2 Track Days and WERA Motorcycle Roadracing will be postponing the May 15 – 17 WERA National and Sportsman Sprint Races and N2 National Endurance Series races at Pittsburgh International Race Complex until September 11 – 13, 2020. Pennsylvania state social distancing regulations due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic event prohibit gatherings of people. The Pittsburgh International Race Complex WERA National and N2 National Endurance will now be held September 11 – 13, 2020. All pre-entries will automatically receive a credit.

“WERA, N2 and PIRC worked exhaustively to put on this event, but it simply was not possible with the current health emergency regulations in the state of Pennsylvania,” said N2 Partner/COO Jim Curtis. “Although a lot of the country is preparing to open up, we feel that in order to give our teams and riders enough time to prepare, we had to make a decision by May 1. At this time, we have no reason to think the regulations will change significantly by May 15.”

WERA Motorcycle Roadracing and N2 Track Days will hold a replacement event on September 11 – 13, 2020 with the complete National Series and National Endurance program. Pre-entries for this event are open. Team and riders who have pre-registered for the May 15 – 17 PIRC event will receive a credit.

“Everybody wants to race right now, including us,” said N2 Partner/CEO Rob Cichielo. “Although, this is not ideal, we know that we will be riding soon and the September WERA National is going to be awesome.”

“WERA and N2 were looking forward to this event to kick off our joint Endurance Series for 2020 but with all of the restrictions placed by States with regard to the Covid-19 Virus Pandemic we have to look at this event and say it is not feasible. We are happy to be able to give this event a new weekend on September 11-13 and look forward to seeing everyone then. Thank you to the Staff at Pittsburgh International Race Complex for working with us on this and to our partners N2 for all they have done with this event,” said Evelyne Clarke, CEO WERA Motorcycle Roadracing.
