Neil Hodgson, Professional Road Racer, Corona Extra Honda This year Neil’s season started out great when he took his CBR1000RR to second place at the first Superbike race of 2009 on the high banks of Daytona. Soon after he was sidelined with injuries and was forced to miss some rounds. Now he’s back racing and most recently he finished sixth at Laguna Seca after a first turn mishap where Neil and few other riders were taken out. www.corona-racing.com Blake Young, Professional Road Racer, Rockstar Makita Suzuki Blake is a Madison, Wisconsin native and a horizon award winner. 2009 is his first year in the National Guard AMA Pro American Superbike Class and he is a newcomer to the Rockstar Makita team. He’s won most titles that he’s contested in the last couple years including a championship at Loretta Lynn’s. His story, however, is unique because he was born in Scotland and lived in Canada. He now resides in California during the winter months and is set to turn pro after Loretta’s in August. www.deanwilsonracing.com Tommy Hahn, Professional Motocross Racer, Canidae Motorsport Kawasaki 2009 has been a great year for Tommy in the Lucas AMA Pro Motocross Championship series. He’s racing the premier 450 class and has put in rides that have turned some heads. At round two he earned the Ricky Carmichael Hard-Charger Award for a come from behind performance. He also finished 3rd overall at the Colorado round, his best finish ever. Currently, Tommy sits 8th in points as the series heads to Millville, Minnesota this Saturday. www.canidaeracing.com Jonah Street, Baja Champion & Rally Racer, Rally Pan Am Jonah Street has won the Baja 500 three times and finished second in the Baja 1000 four times. In 2006, he turned his sights to international cross-country rally racing, and was labeled a ‘revelation’ in the Dakar Rally after finishing in the top five in three stages. In January 2009, he again competed in the Dakar Rally, holding second place through the first week and winning Stage 5. Unfortunately, on day eight of the grueling two week race a former injury made it impossible to continue. He has had surgery, and is now home training for the 2010 Dakar and lining up sponsorships to go for the win. www.rallypanam.com Chris Ridgway, X Games Gold Medalist Chris was a pro motocrosser in the early 90’s and on his way to a very successful career. In April of 1995 he had a bad crash at Glen Helen, California breaking both legs and ankles. Chris endured several extensive surgeries, including ones to replace his heels with cadaver bones. Determined not to give up, he began a long recovery. He started racing again at a pro level in 1998 and did very well until breaking his leg again at the end of the 1999 season. Several surgeries later his ankle was unusable and very painful. Eventually the only option was to amputate his leg just below the knee. He continues to race and has won 3 gold medals at the Extremity Games and one at the X Games. He’s set to compete again at the X Games in a few weeks. www.myspace.com/47900750 Crew at Pit Pass Radio Scott Casber, Tony Wenck, Tony Tice, Jack DeLeon and Ed Kuhlenkamp.
