© 2022, Roadracing World Publishing, Inc. From a press release issued By NEMRR:

The purse for the 100th running of America’s oldest motorcycle road race just got $50K richer.  Now with a purse totaling $250,000 and a winner’s take of $55,000, the Loudon Classic now boasts the largest overall and winner’s purse for any single road race in U.S. history.  In addition to the 20% larger primary purse of $240,000, NEMRR is also offering an additional $10,000 bonus fund for the top-five finishing NEMRR regular riders.  In order to qualify for the bonus fund, riders simply need to have participated in three NEMRR events in 2022 and race in both of the 2023 events that precede the Loudon Classic.

John Grush, Executive Director of NEMRR noted, “The 100th running of the Loudon Classic is a landmark event that owns a deserving place in motorcycling history.  We’ve worked to be able to offer a purse that truly honors the previous 99 years of competitors, and this event will break U.S. records for both the winner’s share and total payout.  NEMRR also wants to honor our club racing heritage by offering a special bonus to those riders who have supported our series in recent years and will do that with the special $10,000 NEMRR rider payout.”
