WERA/Roadracingworld.com Young Gun Champion To Be Named at GNF WERA Motorcycle Roadracing and Roadracingworld.com will combine forces to recognize an outstanding young rider during the 2008 WERA Grand National Finals presented by Lockhart/Phillips and scheduled for October 8-12 at Road Atlanta. The WERA/Roadracingworld.com Young Gun Champion award will go to the best-finishing rider in the C Superstock Sportsman Expert race who is age 19 or younger and who does not have an AMA Pro Racing License. A special trophy will be presented to the winner of the award, who will also be featured in an upcoming issue of Roadracing World & Motorcycle Technology magazine and on Roadracingworld.com. “If you look at the top motorcycle racers in the U.S.. and abroad, many of them honed their skills with WERA Motorcycle Roadracing, and the first media attention many of those stars received came from Roadracing World’s annual Young Guns Feature,” said WERA President Evelyne Clarke. “This new WERA/Roadracingworld.com Young Gun Champion award combines those two great traditions to honor a future star.”
