New Video Production Company to Cover Road Racing
HOMESTEAD MIAMI SPEEDWAY, Florida – There was something unusual going on during a Homestead Miami CCS round. A film crew set up several cameras on the track and were walking around interviewing racers in the paddocks and shooting video of the races. This was not a local TV station getting some video for a news cast but a new production company dedicated to shooting road racing in the US.
At the following CCS round in Florida the riders were treated to a sneak peak of the production team’s intentions during their rider’s meeting. RaceWurx TV announced that they plan to cover CCS/ASRA and other road races around the US starting with the Florida rounds this season and then showed a trailer comprised of the videos shot on the previous race that gave a taste of future releases. The response from the riders gathered was enthusiastic and quite emphatic as they gave a loud ovation after the presentation. Marc Allen, the executive producer for RaceWurx TV and their fellow racer, presented the trailer by stating “For several years I have tried to get documentary producers and TV stations to come cover our racing to no avail. They don’t seem to understand what an amazing experience is lived by us all at every weekend that we race. I decided to stop waiting for someone else to recognize these great events and produce it myself”. The stated inten t of RaceWurx TV is to create a video channel that features the rider’s experiences on and off the track that can be appreciated by not only themselves but all racing fans alike. To bring exposure to the riders, the sport, the organizers, and the myriad of vendors who support this passionate endeavor in hopes that it will inject a much needed enthusiasm to our sport here in the US.
The trailer can be found at www.racewurx.tv and as they shoot and edit more races they will be publishing not only the documentaries for each event but race by race footage for riders and fans to follow in more detail.
