New Jersey Motorsports Park Announces 2020 Event Schedule

 

MILLVILLE, N.J. – New Jersey Motorsports Park is excited to announce the 2020 major event schedule, highlighted by the facility’s first Designer Wraps Beer Festival and mainstays including 24 Hours of Lemons, AHRMA Vintage Motorcycle Racing, MotoAmerica, and more.

“We’re continuing to provide a wide variety of on and off track events to our fans,” said Chief Operating Officer Brad Scott. “We look forward to our main racing events every season, but are eager about the addition of events like the Designer Wraps Beer Fest to round out our 2020 schedule.”

Lee Brahin, NJMP Managing Partner, adds, “New Jersey Motorsports Park is a world-class facility, and we’re excited to continue to showcase all we have here on-site by putting together a schedule complete with major racing events as well as off-track festivals and activities.”

Fans will notice several new additions to the major event schedule; the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) hosts several regional events at NJMP every season, many free for spectators. SCCA kicks off the season April 17 – 19 with The Jerk – Jersey Road Racing ClassicChampionship Cup Series (CCS) is back for three rounds again this season, with Round 1 April 18 – 19.

Coming Memorial Day Weekend in 2020 is the 1st Annual Designer Wraps Beer Fest. The festival will take place Saturday, May 23. Attendees of the festival can expect up to 50 craft breweries and over 100 styles of beer, in addition to food trucks, vendors, music, and more.

Returning in June are fan favorites like the 24 Hours of Lemons and the 8th Annual AHRMA Vintage Motorcycle Festival and Swap Meet. The 24 Hours of Lemons ft. HooptieCon includes 2 days of endurance racing, car shows, and more the weekend of June 13 – 14. The AHRMA Vintage Motorcycle Festival and Swap Meet June 19 – 21 features vintage motorcycle racing on-track and a swap meet, bike show, and more off-track. The Annual Food Truck Festival is back for its 4th year on June 27 with over 20 food trucks, music, vendors, and more! MotoAmerica Championship of New Jersey takes over NJMP September 11 – 13 for a 3 day event, featuring the top Superbike racers in North America.

Last season brought the addition of the Terrain Race, which returns August 22 in 2020. NJMP has added two additional foot races coming this summer, Foam Glow 5K and the Insane Inflatable 5K.

NJMP continues to offer 30+ dates for each of their membership programs – the Drivers Club and the Riders Club. The Drivers Club is an exclusive membership for those looking to drive their sports, classic, or high-performance car at NJMP. The Riders Club, after having a successful debut year in 2019, combines the most powerful motorcycle club management, experienced instructors, and New Jersey Motorsports Park to build the area’s premier motorcycle club.

Driving and racing schools continue to build the next generation of motorsports stars at NJMP; New Jersey Motorsports Park is home to Skip Barber Racing School, Bertil Roos Racing School, Lucas Oil School of Racing, California Superbike School, and Yamaha Champions Riding School. Each organization has multiple dates throughout the 2020 season.

Highlighting Tempest Raceway’s competition karting and mini bike schedule are the return of F-Series Gearup Challenge and New Jersey MiniGP. Tempest Raceway is NJMP’s outdoor go-karting facility. Tempest is excited to welcome Eastern Vintage Karting, who will be hosting its first event at NJMP in May 2020, the Promoter’s Cup Series.

Go-karting, axe throwing, and paintball will open for the season in March. NJMP has already started taking reservations for group experiences in 2020, which can be booked 7 days a week. The Finish Line Pub, NJMP’s on-site bar and restaurant, also opens for the season March 2020. Monthly Motor(less) Nights, in which NJMP opens one of its road courses to the public and all non-motorized activities, will begin the third Thursday in March and continue through October.
