New Jersey Motorsports Park Releases 2011 Calendar Of Events

(Millville, NJ January, 2011) Officials from New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) announced one of the deepest and most diversified road racing schedules in North America for the year 2011. The NJMP Spectator Racing Schedule will open May 21-22 with the ARCA Stock Car Series presented by Menards returning for the fourth straight year, then the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 on July 22-24, also returning for the fourth consecutive year, followed by the AMA Pro Superbike races on September 2-4. In addition to these marquis events, NJMP will host the 2nd Annual Devil After Dark 12 Hour Endurance Race on April 30, the NJMP Sportbike Championship Cup Series on May 13-15, July 15-17, August 13-14, and September 9-11, the ever popular South Jersey Region SCAA National on June 3-5, and the return of RallyAmerica’s explosive Rallycross pavement-dirt races on October 29-30. Memorial Day Weekend will feature the Blue Angels Millville Airshow, coupled with the New Jersey Vintage Grand Prix Festival of speed, which will include for the first time the iBid Classic Auto Show and Vintage Auto Auction. And… our second Vintage Race Weekend, the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association will take to the track on September 29-October 2. “Our goal at New Jersey Motorsports Park is to put together a diversified schedule that provides the total fan experience” said Brad Scott, General Manager of NJMP. “Our 2011 Schedule provides several new exciting events along with our returning favorites – AMA, Grand Am, ARCA and Rallycross”. Joe Volpe, Director of Motorsports Activities states “The combination of Professional Road Racing and our World Class facility makes NJMP a must see destination for every motorsports enthusiast.” The 2011 NJMP Club Racing Schedule will include our first 24 Hours of “Lemons” April 9-10 and the Dodge Viper Series June 10-12, along with returning EMRA (Eastern Motorsports Racing Association) July 30-31, the daredevil Woodbridge Karting Club on September 23-25, NASA (North American Sports Car Association), plus SCCA Regionals on June 24-26, August 19-21, and October 22-23. All Club Racing events are only $10 per day spectator admission and every ticket to NJMP is a pit pass! The 2011 F-1 Karting schedule includes the the ROTAX series on May 20-22 and October 22-23, New Jersey Sprint Series June 3-5 and August 27-28, and three (3) Four Hour Enduro Races May 28, July 30, and November 19. New Jersey Motorsports Park is proud to announce their new partnership with South Jersey Traffic Safety Alliance and AAA to support our 2011 Advanced Driving Safety Program. This new program, perfect for Teens to Senior Citizens, will offer both classroom and behind the wheel training. We will introduce our new schedule in February 2011. The 2011 NJMP Driving and Racing Program Schedule will include the return of the Bertil Roos Racing School. As a pioneer in the industry, the Bertil Roos Racing School has been training students in the art of motor racing for over a quarter of a century. Graduates of our school can be found at every level of racing, from the hobbyist up to the top levels of professional racing. All programs are “arrive and drive.” All you need to bring is a positive attitude and your need for speed!
