New Jersey Motorsports Park announces 2014 race dates GEICO Motorcycle AMA Pro Road Racing, ARCA Racing Series return; several new events added for Park’s seventh season of operation MILLVILLE, N.J. – New Jersey Motorsports Park will again be home to one of the most diverse calendars in racing, as officials announced dates for the 2014 season on Monday. The seventh race season at the Millville, N.J. facility will feature schedule mainstays such as GEICO Motorcycle AMA Pro Road Racing, ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards, and the Vintage Motorcycle Festival featuring the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA), which debuted a year ago. “We’re thrilled to, once again, provide a wide variety of on and off-track events to our fans in 2014.” said Brad Scott, New Jersey Motorsports Park general manager/COO. “Our staff has been working hard to put together next season’s schedule and we can’t wait to get it started.” As in previous years, children 12-and-under are granted free admission to the majority of the Park’s spectator events. The ARCA Racing Series returns for its 7th visit to NJMP, set for the weekend of May 31-June 1. The second-longest running championship racing series in the country (61 years) has produced the likes of NASCAR’s Tony Stewart, Kyle Busch, Joey Logano, Paul Menard, and most recently, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. What will make this year’s event different; however, are the additions of the Pirelli World Challenge and Trans-Am Series to the schedule. The Fidelity Power Systems Pro IT Series, sanctioned by the SCCA, will also run during this diverse weekend of racing. Boasting the largest spectator turnout of any weekend held at the Park annually, GEICO Motorcycle AMA Pro Road Racing returns to the schedule for a sixth consecutive season, September 13-14, 2013. Pinned as one of the premier motorcycle road racing organizations in the world, the series is comprised of four production based classes: National Guard SuperBike, GoPro Daytona SportBike, Motorcycle-Superstore.com SuperSport, and the Vance & Hines XR1200 Series. Also returning after a stellar New Jersey debut, the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association will bring a festival-type atmosphere to Thunderbolt Raceway. AHRMA is the largest vintage motorcycle racing group in North America, growing steadily in recent years, reflecting an increasing interest in classic bikes. Off the track, fans will be pleased to find the opportunity to participate in multiple mud run events at NJMP, highlighted by the BAD Ass Mud Run (June 21) and Bill Bottino Mud Run for Cancer (September 20). Also on the slate for next season are fan favorites like the 24 Hours of LeMons, Optima Batteries ChumpCar World Series, and a Monster Truck event, in addition to a club racing schedule featuring SCCA, NASA Racing Series, EMRA, Porsche Club of America Racing Series, and BMW Car Club of America, IMG, and American Endurance Series racing events. Monthly events open to the public such as Cruise Nights at The Finish Line Pub, NJMP On-Track Experiences, and Motorless Nights will all be back with dates to be announced later. NJMP’s world-class F1 Karting facility will soon announce the details of their 2014 schedule, featuring a variety of regional events, in addition to a full slate of rental enduros open to the public. Next season, New Jersey Motorsports Park will once again offer season tickets, with full schedule and club event-only options.
