Former World Superbike mechanics Dwayne McCracken and Chris Jensen have teamed up to form Motorcycle Power House (MPH), in the Atlanta suburb of Cumming, Georgia. A quick background check will reveal that Irishman McCracken has won several TTs at the grueling Isle of Man with rider John McGuiness. In 2007, McCracken came to the USA to work with James Ellison in AMA Superbike. Here he continued to work for the now defunct Corona Extra Honda team with riders Neil Hodgson, Jake Holden and Matt Lynn. Danish native Jensen was introduced to high-level racing as a mechanic in the World Speedway Championship, taking the 1995 Team World Championship with riders Tommy Knudsen and Hans Nielsen. In 1996, Chris worked with Team Yamaha Denmark rider Anders Rasmussen in the World Superbike Championship. In the years 2002 to 2008, Jensen held various Brand Manager positions within Parts Unlimited including Öhlins, SBS, Dynojet and Suomy. Following that, Jensen was the North American Road Racing Manager for Pirelli motorcycle tires. MPH offers support to racers nationwide, as well as various services from full superbike builds to a basic oil change. Local Atlanta riders will benefit from the close proximity to Georgia Highway 400 going towards the North Georgia Mountains, where MPH provides a perfect pit stop for motorcycle enthusiasts, while out-of-town customers can rely on the exclusive care of seasoned race mechanics for parts and builds. Pirelli tire service and technical support will be provided by MPH at WERA sanctioned road race events at Road Atlanta, GA, Talladega, AL, and Barber Motorsports Park, Al. Their racetrack presence will keep MPH in tune with the latest needs of racers, and allow Jensen and McCracken to work with riders at events, helping them get the most out of their motorcycles and modifications. MPH will be at Talladega Grand Prix Raceway this weekend, April 9-11, servicing the WERA National Challenge Series. MPH is located at 4255 Browns Bridge Road, Cumming, GA 30041; Phone: 678-600-4000; Email: [email protected]
