Gus Sanchez Joins SBK Pro Race Team to compete in 2013 AMA PRO SuperBike class SBK PRO Race Team, a small private team owned by Oscar Volani out of Miami, FL, will be participating in AMA PRO SuperBike in 2013, not only will they debut for their first time in the premier class but will also contribute to the growth of rider Gus Sanchez, a Venezuelan young native, that has being on the hunt since 2008. Team manager Oscar Sanchez says “We are pleased to finally have the opportunity to compete against the top in the sport and since it’s our first year we don’t demand much but we do want to take this as a learning experience and take advantage and improve as much as we can so that we can be a competitive team in the years to come” Not only does the team seem to be ready for the season opener on March 14th through 16th in Daytona International Speedway, but they will also be in the season grand opener of CCS FL Championship February 16th at Homestead Miami International Speedway. After talking with his manager/father, this is what the young Venezuelan rider had to say: “After a long absence of 22 months from riding, we didn’t think we were going to come back but we did, I came back mid-year in 2012 to have some excellent results in CCS FL, from getting a national title in the Race of Champions in AMA Racing 1000 SuperBike class, to winning the first 4 hour endurance race held by Jennings GP. So now we want to take a shot at the big leagues to get better and faster and be able to represent my country like my fellow friends Amantini and Pietri do.” With such a high enthusiastic and hungry character for racing, the young rider finished off by “I’m thankful of everyone that has always been there for me, my family and friends that never gave up on me or my career, thank you”.
