New Motorcycle Safety Technology and Teaching Tools Featured at the 2016 International Rider Training Symposium

LAS VEGAS, NV — New motorcycle safety technology, teaching tools and instruction methods will be featured in an array of seminars, professional demonstrations and test rides at the 2016 International Rider Training Symposium, April 14 – 16 at the Atlantis Resort, in picturesque Reno, Nevada.

Sponsored by the Two-Wheeler and Powersports business unit of Robert Bosch LLC, the event is presented by SKIDCAR System, Inc. USA and Cedergrens MEK, the creator and manufacturer of SKIDBIKE™, a revolutionary field-training platform that lets students go beyond basic riding techniques to confidently explore advanced electronic safety technologies such as traction control, ABS and motorcycle stability control.

Focusing on current trends and future training challenges, the symposium was developed for public and private motorcycle-education administrators, program directors, riding instructors, safety advocates, researchers and the law-enforcement community. Motorcyclists from around the region are also encouraged to attend.

The symposium kicks off with a welcoming reception and networking session on Thursday night. The conference goes into high gear on Friday with presentations by 10 leading professionals who research, create and test tomorrow’s training curriculum and technologies. They will be followed by Q&A sessions that give participants personal access to the speakers.

Saturday’s program is packed with test rides of motorcycles equipped with Bosch motorcycle safety systems, highlighted by professional demonstrations of Bosch and SKIDBIKE systems in action together.

They’ll team up on a SKIDBIKE-equipped KTM 1190 Adventure, which comes from the factory with the latest Bosch motorcycle safety systems. This multi-use rider-training-tool will illustrate how traction control, ABS and the latest Bosch motorcycle stability control can be experienced in a safe, low-speed-testing environment.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to swing a leg over another SKIDBIKE-equipped training motorcycle and perform various exercises throughout the day, in order to see for themselves how this training tool can fit into their programs or add to their experience.

Atlantis Resort is in the heart of Reno, known as The Biggest Little City In The World. More like a smaller, friendlier Vegas at 4500 feet, its skyline of casino towers is hemmed in by the Sierra Nevada mountain range. The second largest city in Nevada, it has an international airport just two miles away, is between 36 and 100 miles from Lake Tahoe’s 18 ski resorts and is surrounded by 200 miles of maintained snowmobile trails.

Symposium registration is now open. To register, please contact SKIDBIKE at 702-395-2896 or via email at [email protected]. For more information about the SKIDBIKE motorcycle rider training platform, visit Skidbike.com. and its parent company, SKIDCAR System, Inc. USA.

Through these instructor-controlled variables, students can experience a loss of grip, simulating real-world speed and road conditions.

SKIDBIKE features a patented Traction Control Device (TCD) attached to the trainer bike’s front and rear wheels. Used together or separately, the TCDs give rider-training instructors tools never before available.
