Replicast Challenge Race Series Launched! Youth Motorcycle Road Race Development Program Announced A new motorcycle road race series is coming to town the Replicast Challenge is seeking young riders from all backgrounds to compete in a new youth development motorcycle road race series! Created in alliance with Kevin Elliott and CCS Racing, the Replicast Challenge will provide a unique opportunity for young riders to showcase their talents and compete in a cost-controlled series that is designed to help young riders navigate a path to higher competitive motorsports series in the USA and around the world. The Replicast Challenge is comprised of five race events to be run in conjunction with East Coast CCS race weekends, and it will include a Championship Race at the end of the season to crown the Replicast Challenge Champion. The select motorcycle for the Replicast Challenge is the 2009 Aprilia RS 125 repli-racer. This single cylinder two-stroke track-only racer delivers excellent performance and value for young riders. With all the modern updates of current race bikes, such as upside-down forks, radial brakes, braced swingarm, six speed transmission, and twin-spar frame, the Aprilia RS 125 will provide a solid platform for the development of young riders without breaking the bank. Costs will be controlled by using a spec fuel, spec tire, and spec bodywork supplier. No modifications to the Aprilia RS 125 will be allowed except for limited adjustments to improve rider fit and comfort on the motorcycle and to enhance safety. Dyno tests during qualifying and after the race will be utilized to ensure compliance and a level playing field for all competitors. The mission of the Replicast Challenge is to provide young riders that lack sufficient resources or options an opportunity to develop their skills in motorcycle road racing by creating a series that will channel them towards advanced motorsports careers. By creating a cost-controlled youth development series, the Replicast Challenge will minimize expenses while maximizing growth in riders and the motorcycle roadracing industry. This youth development series is also designed to maximize the fun factor for families that want to experience the thrills of motorcycle road racing competition while improving rider confidence and skills.
