New Sponsor Bonuses Sweeten The Pot At WSMC Toyota 200

Rosamond, CA – The 2007 running of Toyota 200 at Willow Springs with offer more prize money than ever before, thanks to special bonuses added by three key sponsors. Sports Tire Services, distributors of Dunlop Racing Tires, has added a $1,000 bonus to be distributed among the top three finishers: $500 to the first place finisher, $300 to second place and $200 to third place. This is on top of the $50,000, $30,000 and $10,000 purse awarded to podium finishers ordinarily. “We’ll give the bonus to the top three racers, regardless of the tire brand they ride,” says Dennis Smith of Sports Tire Services. “With Dunlop’s history of success at the Toyota 200 and the Toyota Cup series we are confident that the winners will be riding our tires!” VP Racing Fuels has also pitched in $1,000 for whoever wins the pole position in qualifying on September 14th. Jason Curtis earned the provisional pole with a 1:22.471 in early qualifying in August. That time also earned him a $1,000 Fastest Qualifier prize from the Antelope Valley Inn. The hotel will kick in another $500 to the individual running the fastest lap in the grueling 200 mile match-up scheduled for Sunday, September 16th. Every finisher is guaranteed to earn at least $1,000. This year’s purse for Roadracing World’s 250/50 has also been sweetened a bit. The first place finisher will now receive $4,000 for their efforts while second place has been increased to $3,500 and third to $3,000. Even the last place finisher will collect a hundred dollars for his or her trouble. Tickets for the four day Toyota 200 are available now through September 8th for a discounted price of just $25/person. This price includes free parking, pit pass and camping privileges for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 13th through September 16th.
