Rijeka/Croatia August 13, 2006 Millet Racing Yamaha Junior Team Two victories for Franck Millet On the track of Rijeka for the final event of the Swiss Championship, Franck Millet on his Yamaha R6 won the last two races of the season and finished third of the Championship, only 0.5 points behind the second placed rider. During this seventh and last event, Franck Millet won on Saturday in front of Pascal Grosgean (Kawasaki) and Julien Ballestra (Suzuki), while Christophe Girard (Yamaha) was fifth. On Sunday, Franck Millet finished again in first place, with Julien Ballestra second and Pascal Grosgean third. Again, Christophe Girard raced well and ended up fourth. The Millet Racing Yamaha Junior Team congratulates the 2006 Champion Jean-Louis Devoyon (Suzuki), who was not in Rijeka as he raced the 24 Hours of Oschersleben where he finished fourth aboard the Bolliger Kawasaki. Pascal Grosgean finishes second of the Championship, only 0.5 points in front of Franck Millet who missed four races because of the European Superstock 600 Championship. Christophe Girard is a very good sixth in this Championship, which is a great result for this talented beginner.
