BRIDGESTONE/WERA NATIONAL ENDURANCE SERIES RE-VAMP: For 2010 WERA will have only three points/contingency paying classes: Heavyweight; Mediumweight and Lightweight. We will also allow one-off teams to run any round for contingency only, no points and they can be an all Novice Team, or mixed Novice/Expert Team and they need to run in the displacement class their machine fits. The rules will be based on current WERA Superbike and FIM Formula EWC Rules. Teams winning their class will be awarded a free entry for the following season. There will no longer be an event by event purse in 2010, only the contingency from the manufacturers participating in the series. Trophies will be awarded to top three overall and then top three in each class. 2009 WERA RIDER REWARDS: WERA may not have paid purses but how we reward our riders adds up to over $65,000.00 in benefits used by our riders. Class Champions get discount cards to use the following season and the 2008 Champions collected a cool $49,000.00 from that benefit and the Endurance Teams collected $15,000.00 in benefits during the 2009 Season. 2009 WRAP UP: 2009 Novice to Expert advancement letters will go out in November, the 2009 Discount Cards and Certificates will go out in December and the Regional #1 Plates will be available at the first event for each Region in 2010.
