FEATURED IN THE APRIL 2019 ISSUE OF ROADRACING WORLD…

The idea crystalized in Jeremy Toye’s head after two
days of riding a Kawasaki Ninja 400 at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca during a
track day. It’s not Toye’s favorite track, nor does a 400cc Twin seem like an
obvious choice for a guy who’s raced 200-horsepower monsters at some of the
fastest and most famous racing circuits. And yet…

“Every day on the way back to the hotel I was
giggling to myself. I just got hooked from there,” Toye says. A year
later, Toye is the heart of the Ninja400R.com project, with support from
Hotbodies Racing. Toye also crew-chiefed at several events for Ashton Yates,
who raced his own Ninja 400 in MotoAmerica Junior Cup rounds, but also rode one
of Toye’s bikes in selected events, setting pole as well as winning three
races.

Getting your very own, Toye-built FIM Supersport 300
World Championship-legal Kawasaki Ninja 400 racebike could not be easier. It’s
just as easy to have one built right to the limits of a local racing
organization’s rules, or to order a wild ultra-lightweight sportbike for track
days. Just visit the website and with six clicks of the mouse (I counted!) it’s
time to enter a credit card number—and the build on your new racebike is soon
underway …

Editor-At-Large Michael Gougis, in the April 2019 Issue of Roadracing World

Back in the
day, racers could order turn-key racebikes directly from the factory, prep the
machines and go racing. While those days mostly are gone, Jeremy Toye’s
Ninja400R.com project is the next best thing. Editor-at-Large Michael Gougis
explores how, with a few clicks of a mouse, a racebike can be heading your way.
