Daytona 500 Party at NJMP to Benefit 7th Annual Coats for Kids Drive Sunday, February 23
Featuring $500 Purse Car Show and “Free Cruise Laps for Children’s Charities” on Thunderbolt Raceway
MILLVILLE, N.J. – The Green Flag Committee at New Jersey Motorsports Park is set to host its seventh annual Daytona 500 party to benefit its Green Flag Children’s Charities.
Doors to the Finish Line Pub, located at the heart of NJMP, will open for registration 11:00 a.m. The 56th running of the “Great American Race” will be shown on two big screen TVs, plus three big clubhouse HDTVs.
The race is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
Owners of custom, historic, and classic street cars are invited to bring their hot rod for a chance to win a $300 “Best of Show” cash prize! Second place will win $125, with third taking home $75.
Car show registration is $10.
Tickets for the party are $35 per person and includes complimentary soft drinks, the pub’s famous “Non-Stop” Daytona 500 buffet and free soft drinks. A cash bar will include draft beer specials and race track featured cocktails. Door Prizes, including race tickets, will be given throughout the day.
At 11:30 a.m., fans will have the opportunity take their own cars on Thunderbolt Raceway for a series of “Cruise Laps for Children’s Charities” until noon. There is no charge for the cruise laps. Donations for the charity will be accepted.
