EHA RACING SET FOR NORTH WEST 200 RETURN WITH RECORD HOLDER SEELEY

EHA Racing is delighted to announce its return to the International North West 200 with Alastair Seeley in May 2019, supported once again by lead partner for the event, JP Corry – Northern Ireland’s leading building supplier.

The Essex based Irish team made a dream debut at the event in 2018 with Seeley, taking pole position, two wins and a class lap record in the Supersport races on the sun-baked north coast of Northern Ireland.

The plan is to return and defend those Supersport wins with Seeley at the famous 8.9-mile Road Racing Triangle, and the Ulsterman should be well prepared, having secured a full-time ride with EHA Racing for 2019 – aboard a CF Motorsport prepared YZF-R6 Yamaha in next season’s British Supersport Championship.

Speaking on the north coast yesterday, at JP Corry’s Coleraine branch, Seeley said: “I gelled well with the team and the EHA Racing Yamaha at this year’s event, which was memorable for everyone involved. So to be able to come back in 2019 to defend those two Supersport wins with the same team – who I will be racing full-time with next season – is very pleasing indeed. The preparation has already begun in terms of my race fitness and we will get our testing plan underway in the New Year.”

Team owner Edward Allingham, who also heads up parent company EHA Group, explained: “2018 at the North West 200 was a memorable one for all involved at EHA Racing and also for our lead partner at the event, JP Corry. So we are delighted to be able to support such a fantastic event on home soil once again in 2019. It’s a great opportunity to involve a lot of our business partners at EHA Group and also showcase our team in front of the local audience. We will be putting in a big effort again with Alastair, and our goal will be to come and challenge for those two Supersport wins once again. Alastair is currently on 24 wins on the north coast, and it would be nice to be involved in a milestone twenty-fifth win with him.”

The 2019 International North West 200 takes place on May 14/16/18th.
