Northern Talent Cup testing concludes at Oschersleben

The American/Hungarian rookie Rossi Moor makes his mark as the NTC gets back on track in Germany

The two-day pre-season test for the 2021 Northern Talent Cup has now concluded in Germany, with the class of 2021 getting some track time under their belts at Oschersleben. After plenty of practice time and reverse order race simulation to boot, the countdown is now on to Round 1 alongside MotoGP at Le Mans…..and there’s one rider with an extra speed under his sleeve.

American/Hungarian rookie Rossi Moor (FAIRIUM Next Generation Riders Team) announced his presence on the grid on Day 1 as he pulled out more than three tenths on fast veteran Romanian Jacopo Hoscuic (Hos Racing Team), who was second quickest, and the rookie only continued to impress. By the end of play on Day 2 he was quickest overall by an even bigger margin… and won the race simulation with authority. Rossi Moor had also set a new track record by almost 1 second.

There’s a new benchmark in 2021, and the veterans will be keen to try and close the gap.

Behind Hosciuc, who remained second overall by the end of the test, 2020 runner up Lorenz Luciano (Junior Black Knights Team) slots into third on the combined timesheets ahead of Jakub Gurecky (JRT Brno Circuit) and Tibor Varga (Forty Racing Team), with a tenth or less separating the close group of veterans on the timesheets. Stefan Zuda (Motoracing23 Klub V ACR), Niklas Kitzhbichler (Racing-Team-Kitzbichler) and Jonas Koucerek (JRT Brno Circuit) are up next, with rookie but previous wildcard Loris Veneman (Kahuna Security Racing) in ninth and Kas Beekmans (Team KNMV) completing the top ten.

With the practice times putting Moor on top and then the race simulation only underlining his pace, it’s an advantage for the American/Hungarian on the way into the 2021 NTC. Can the veterans close the gap to the fast newcomer? Find out at Round 1 as the grid take on Le Mans, with the NTC ready to give us more great racing in 2021.
