M1 PowerSports Thanks WERA Motorcycle Roadracing DENVER, Colo. (May 9, 2012) – M1 PowerSports would like to thank WERA Motorcycle Roadracing for aiding the sport of professional motorcycle road racing by canceling and rescheduling the WERA Pro-Am event that was scheduled for April 20-22, 2012, the same weekend as the Triumph Big Kahuna Atlanta presented by Dunlop Tire and LeoVince. “I’ve been a longtime supporter of WERA and I recognize just how important it is to the growth of this sport we all love,” said Cameron Gray, CEO of M1 PowerSports. “WERA provides a fun and challenging environment for riders to hone their skills and without it, there would be no foundation. What Evelyn Clarke and her staff have built is crucial to the success of motorcycle road racing in North America and we are thankful that they were willing to change their date.” The M1 PowerSports-promoted event held last month at Braselton, Georgia’s Road Atlanta featured some of the most compelling AMA Pro Road Racing action to date and was the first of three events on the 2012 calendar that make up the Triumph Big Kahuna Triple Crown.
