Rich Oliver won a wild 250cc Grand Prix race at Pikes Peak International Raceway, leading, getting pased and repassed by Jimmy Filice, who then crashed, and by Chuck Sorensen, who collided with a lapped rider and crashed in the closing laps. Filice picked up his bike in fourth and ran down third-place local star Don Hough, who then crashed. Results follow:
