OMRRA: Jeremy Coffey Wins Formula Ultra Races In Portland

OMRRA

Portland International Raceway, Portland, OR

June 22 – 23

Blue skies and mid 70’s in the afternoons created perfect track conditions for the fourth round of OMRRA. Andy DiBrino flew in from his victory in the Superhooligan races to go head to head with Jeremy Coffey and Kevin Pinkstaff in all the races for the APEX Overall Championship. Jeremy proved to be unbeatable this weekend on his BMW S1000RR and is firmly in the championship lead.

The chicane configuration was used for all Lightweight and Middleweight bikes which made for close racing and exciting viewing in all those classes. All the 600 classes had the biggest grids of the club for the weekend with competitive racing at the front in every race between MacKenzie Ancien and Oliver Jervis.

OMRRA celebrated OMRRA racer #105 Pearce Lutz on Saturday with Laps of Honor. Pearce unfortunately passed away from complications from a crash he had at the Ridge in early June while racing with our sister club WMRRA. OMRRA will deeply miss him.
