Pacific Raceways Lap Record Broken Several Times During WMRRA Event

On Saturday [June 13], Ross DeLong on his Dunlop shod GSXR1000 broke the Pacific Raceways track record in Open Supersport with a time of 1:24:425, besting the previous record by Mike MacConaghy of 1:24:451. DeLong finished the race 3rd behind race winner Mike MacConaghy and Mike Sullivan. On Sunday [June 14] in WMRRA’s premier class, Formula Ultra, Mike MacConaghy on his Dunlop shod GSXR1000 took his record back on Lap 3 with a lap time of 1:24:145. He followed it up the next lap, re-breaking the record with a time of 1:24:062, where the record now stands. MacConaghy went on to win the Formula Ultra race by 2.684 seconds ahead of former record holder Ross DeLong. All times were recorded by AMB electronic timing system and are certified correct by WMRRA scoring officials.
