Parts Canada Superbike Races To Be Broadcast In High-definition In Canada

TORONTO, ON – The Parts Canada Superbike Championship returns for a 10th campaign on Tuesday, Sept. 11, with the first of eight episodes covering the 2007 season. Subsequent coverage will run every Tuesday afternoon to the end of October, with the season finale from Shannonville Motorsport Park split into two episodes premiering on Oct. 23 and Oct. 30. The entire series will air on TSN and TSN HD. Each episode will be one hour in length and feature play-by-play from noted motorsports announcer Pat Gonsalves and colour commentary from Colin Fraser. This marks the second year that the Parts Canada Superbike Championship has been available in high definition on TSN HD. A complete broadcast schedule is below and also available at www.cdnsuperbike.com. “We are very pleased to have the series running on consecutive weeks and in fairly consistent time slots,” said Fraser, who administers the series through his Professional Motorsports Productions organization. “We think motorcycle road racing is a great fit for high definition television, and we are convinced fans will be excited by what they see on TSN and TSN HD this fall.” Each hour-long episode will feature coverage of the Parts Canada Superbike, Yoshimura Pro 600 Sport Bike and International Motorcycle SUPERSHOW Amateur 600 Sport Bike national classes. As well as race coverage viewers will see technical features, racer interviews and the presentation of the Inside Motorcycles Pole Position Award from each round. The final round from Shannonville will be split into episodes. The first, premiering on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 12:30pm (Eastern) will feature coverage of the Pro 600 Sport Bike and Thunder classes. The second episode will premier Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 2:00pm (Eastern) and include action from the Superbike and Amateur 600 Sport Bike divisions. The Parts Canada Superbike Championship is also available for French language viewers on RDS in half-hour episodes.
