Veteran Jeff Ward and rookie Joey Pascarella to lead the charge. With just two weeks left until the season opening round of the XTRM AMA Pro Racing Supermoto Championship, riders and teams are gearing up for an action packed series. Leading the push for team Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/PPG/Honda for another national title will be none other than motocross and Supermoto racing legend, Jeff Ward. Last year’s gold medal winner at the Summer X Games stepped down from full-time racing but is back to challenge for the title in 2009. “I’m feeling good,” says Ward. Adding, “The series looks good this year and I am really stoked on our bike. From the first day I rode the 2009 CRF450 it was incredible. We made a few changes and immediately we had a better package than we ever have. Our team has been working hard to make sure we have the best bike on the track and I’m confident that we do. I’m really excited to go racing on it.” Jeff will compete for the 450 Premier title while his new teammate, Joey Pascarella, will vie for the Lites championship. Joey is a former Red Bull Rookies Cup rider and a former Supermoto amateur national champion. His first outing for the TLD team will be on March 22nd when the season kicks off in Fontana, CA at Auto Club Speedway.
