Daytona Beach, FL (3 March 2009) Team Foremost Pegram Racing has set up shop at Daytona International Speedway for the opening round of the 2009 AMA Pro Racing American Superbike championship. Kicking off the season at the most famous track on the calendar, this week marks Ducati’s return to Superbike racing in the United States. Thursday’s Superbike race will usher in the new era with style as the 1098 R Superbike hits the banking for the first time. Larry Pegram, owner of Team Foremost Pegram Racing, will be riding a Ducati Superbike for the first time since 2003. After a winter of intense preparations Pegram is eager to make an immediate impact on the championship at Daytona- a track which both Ducati and Pegram are no strangers to after finishing third in the Daytona 200 last year. “I am really excited to get on track and begin my season. Not only are we back in the Superbike class after two years successfully campaigning the Ducati 749 RS and 848; but this year I have a full factory Superbike built by a crew with AMA and international racing experience. Come Thursday I plan on fighting for the win here in Daytona!” For more information on Team Foremost Pegram Racing please visit www.pegramracing.com.
