Winchendon, MA (January 31 2012) The Penguin Roadracing School announces its 2012 track day school schedule. The Penguin School will be offering motorcycle rider training at four different racetracks in 2012; New Hampshire Motor Speedway, New Jersey Motorsports Park, Barber Motorsports Park and Homestead-Miami Speedway. This year’s rider training classes include six Friday dates and a 2-day school at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and two special Ducati track day events in New Jersey and New England. The year ends with schools in Alabama and Miami. “Last year’s Friday schools worked out extremely well in helping us achieve our goal of making motorcycle rider development at the racetrack more accessible and convenient for all motorcyclists,” said Eric Wood, President of the Penguin Roadracing School. “Our special Ducati events and our annual two day school were very popular as we sold out all of these events weeks in advance. We look forward to working with even more riders in 2012 as we continue to develop our program.” Penguin schools are open to all riders and offer classes tailored to individual riders’ needs. Class options are available for street riders, racers and aspiring racers. For details please explore our class options. The school was key in helping transform roadracing safety as the sport grew in the 1970’s. The first Penguin School manual “Learn to Fly” provided riders with a game plan for a complete understanding of roadracing rules and safety procedures as well as a solid path to improve their skills. The school grew under the leadership of Jerry Wood and their first advanced class instructor, factory rider, John Bettencourt. John was succeeded by the famous US Superbike privateer, Dale Quarterley. Currently, under the leadership of Eric Wood, son of founder Jerry Wood, the school has expanded from its base operation at New Hampshire Motor Speedway to include schools in New Jersey and Florida. Utilizing advanced training materials, with the industry’s best team of lead instructors, the school trains thousands street riders and racers in basic and advanced skills.
